Website hosting gives your website somewhere secure and reliable to live online. Website care goes further by including ongoing maintenance such as WordPress, theme and plugin updates, backups, security and performance checks and technical support.

No. If you’re happy managing and maintaining your own website, you can choose hosting on its own. Website care is there for businesses that would rather have the technical side looked after for them.

Yes. I can usually take over the hosting and ongoing care of an existing WordPress website. I’ll take a look at the website first to make sure everything is suitable before moving it across or starting a care plan.

If you’re on a Website Care & Hosting plan, I’ll investigate technical issues covered by your plan and work to get your website running properly again. If the problem requires additional development or work outside your plan, I’ll let you know before carrying out any chargeable work.

Content updates, new pages, design changes and additional development aren’t included as standard. If you need changes made to your website, I can provide a separate quote.

Yes. Backups are included with hosting, with additional website-level backup management included as part of the Website Care & Hosting plan.

Yes. If you start with hosting only and decide you’d rather have the maintenance taken care of too, you can move onto a Website Care & Hosting plan.
